Jiménez Peña Holds Successful Reforestation Initiative in Villa Altagracia

Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic – On October 11, Jiménez Peña carried out an inspiring reforestation initiative in collaboration with ECOBOSCO and the Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (MIMARENA), as part of the firm’s institutional sustainability strategy and its strong commitment to generating a positive environmental impact.

The activity took place in the municipality of Villa Altagracia, located 45 minutes from Santo Domingo, where members of the firm actively participated in planting mahogany and cedar trees—native species essential for forest restoration, soil protection, and the conservation of the area’s natural resources.

The initiative not only contributed to the environmental recovery of the area but also fostered collaboration, learning, and ecological awareness. The day combined teamwork with environmental education guided by the technical teams of ECOBOSCO and MIMARENA. Participants experienced a meaningful activity that reinforced the firm’s purpose of promoting actions that go beyond the everyday and generate sustainable value.

The Sustainability Committee of Jiménez Peña led the initiative, mobilizing members from all areas of the firm, who joined with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a strong environmental spirit.

“Each initiative like this reaffirms our commitment to sustainability and to contributing, from our institutional role, to building a more responsible and conscious future for the next generations. We thank ECOBOSCO and the Ministry of Environment for their valuable collaboration and technical guidance in achieving the objectives of this initiative,” said Luis Eduardo Jiménez, Senior Associate and member of the firm’s Sustainability Committee.

Through this action, Jiménez Peña strengthens its vision of promoting environmental initiatives that contribute to ecosystem preservation, reinforce a culture of sustainability within the organization, and support the development of more resilient communities in the Dominican Republic.
