Monte Plata Solar, the first photovoltaic plant in the country

Monte Plata, a photovoltaic solar array was officially inaugurated in the presence of the President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina. This is great news for the firm and the country, our client; General Energy Solutions has inaugurated the biggest Photovoltaic energy company of the Caribbean, beginning with 30MW expansible to 60MW.

The team of M&A led by JCP’s partner Marcos Peña Rodriguez, also comprising by, associates Gisselle Valera Diego García, Melissa Marrero y Victor Santana, assisted the client in the acquisition of the project; the most important Taiwanese investment in the Dominican Republic, about USD110 million. JCP made a great effort to achieve the support of many important institutions such as Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana, CEI-RD an also the full support of the President Danilo Medina.
