 The legal framework that governs employment in the Dominican Republic is comprised of

the Dominican Labour Code, which is enacted through the following: Law 16-92 dated

29 May 1992, as amended (the Labour Code); the Regulation for the Implementation of

the Labour Code No. 258-93; Law No. 87-01, which institutes the Social Security System

of the Dominican Republic, as amended; all International Labour Organization agreements

ratified by the Dominican Republic; and the regulations issued by the Ministry of Labour of

the Dominican Republic.
