Marcos José is an associate of the firm, he is part of the firm’s Litigation Department, concentrating his practice in Dispute Resolution, getting involved in the practice of Arbitration and Civil, Labor and Real Estate Litigation.

Marcos is a graduate of the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), magna cum laude, with a concentration in Administrative Law, specifically involving himself in the areas of Public Procurement and Contracting Regulation, Special Administrative Law and Cybersecurity. Marcos pursued as a merit scholar, a Master in International Business and Economic Law (LLM) with a certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from Georgetown University.

After his LLM, Marcos broadened his knowledge of common law by serving as an assistant professor in the Fundamentals of American Law course taught at Georgetown University’s LLM. Subsequently, he worked on Public International Law and International Investment Arbitration cases in his role as Staff Lawyer at one of the world’s most prestigious law firms based in London, England.

Part of the legal team handling local labor matters for Frito Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo. Frito Lay employs more than 1,200 people in the Dominican Republic.

Part of the legal team handling a collection claim against a company in the hotel industry for an amount in excess of USD $700,000.00.
