Agency and Distribution

Current industry challenges in the Dominican Republic

In the Dominican Republic, the agency and distribution is regulated by Law 173 of 1966 on the protection of import agents of merchandise and products. However, with the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement between the United States, Central America and the Dominican Republic (DR-CAFTA), new forms of commercial relations have arisen for distributors and granting companies in the member countries, including new job opportunities, strengthening the development of small and medium enterprises with innovative policies.
