María Arcalá Fernández is part of the firm’s Litigation Department, concentrating her practice in the resolution of disputes in civil, labor and real estate matters, as well as in foreclosure proceedings. In addition, she assists the business department in Real Estate Transactions.

Maria is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). Her academic background includes the study of languages as one of its fundamental axes.

Relevant Recent Experience

Part of the team representing AIC International Investments Limited, an investment fund in the recovery of the amounts financed through the real estate execution of the guarantees. Involving debt of over US$64 MM and 126 properties.

Part of the legal team handling local labor matters for Frito Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo. Frito Lay employs more than 1,200 people in the Dominican Republic.

Part of the legal team representing Excel Consulting, S.R.L., one of the leading investment groups in the Dominican Republic, in the acquisition of Silver Sun Gallery.
