Phátima Veras is a senior associate at the firm, specialized primarily in project financing, business law, and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions of companies. She has participated in local and international commercial transactions, real estate transactions, and provides legal counsel to regulated companies in the telecommunications, energy, logistics center, and nonprofit sectors.

Phátima is a graduate of the Universidad Iberoamericana de Santo Domingo (UNIBE) and studied a master’s degree in Business Law and International Litigation from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santo Domingo, and the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain. Additionally, she completed the International Business Law program from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, offered in Santo Domingo in collaboration with the Global Institute for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences.

Representation of an important economic group in the energy sector in the negotiation and execution of financing for what will be the largest solar energy project in the Caribbean.

Representation of one of the country’s leading companies in the energy sector in the negotiation and execution of a syndicated financing with national and foreign entities for the construction and commissioning of a power plant.

Representation of a Dominican economic group in the negotiation and structure of the acquisition of a shareholding in a significant company in the energy sector in the country.

Representation of a Dominican banking entity in connection with legal due diligence, structuring, and registration of guarantees for various financings to companies in the hotel and tourism sector, including: (i) the construction of one of the most important shopping centers in the East region of the country, (ii) the construction and commissioning of hotels located in the East region of the country.
