Currently, the General Directorate of Migration of the Dominican Republic is working on the implementation of coordination and integration programs with other government authorities in order to improve processes through the exchange of information and identification of improvement opportunities for greater agility in the same.

A recent example is the signing of the Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement signed with ProDominicana, an entity in charge of promoting exports and investments in the country, in order to streamline the process of obtaining Dominican residency by investment for foreigners who invest in the Dominican Republic.
